New to Hunt for Details? We’ll walk you through our car detailing process and what to expect on the day of your appointment.

At Hunt for Details, we perform all of our car detailing services out of our conveniently located shop. The shop is located on the north side of Athens, GA several minutes from downtown near Southern Brewing and on the way to Athens Tech.

Dropping off you car

When you arrive at the 184 Collins Industrial Blvd, pull through the parking lot and into the gate. The gate is open during business hours. Hunt for Details is immediately on the right in a brick building. Please text or call Justin at 770-833-8102 upon arrival, and one of our team members will come out to greet you.

If you would like to use a loaner car while we are working on detailing your car, please let me know at the time of booking so that I can reserve one for you. Instead of using a loaner car, some people have a loved one or coworker drop them off. Others choose to use Uber or Lyft. Our extensive car detailing services usually take 3 hours or more to complete. We do not have a waiting room and are not set up for you to watch us.

If it’s more convenient for you to drop your car off outside of regular business hours, you may do so. Simply text us to request the gate code, park inside the gate, and leave your keys inside of the drop-box on our door.

Upon drop off, we will review your car and assess its general condition, identify special areas that need attention, discuss needs and expectations, and provide a price for the detailing service. I cannot provide an accurate price for the detail without seeing your car in person.

 

Our car detailing services always begin with removing trash and collecting personal belongings left in the vehicle so that they can be stored while the car is cleaned.

Once we move on to the cleaning phase, we begin with the exterior and transition to the interior. We address every surface of the vehicle with a material-appropriate cleaner and cleaning method. We spend an average of 3 hours on each Classic Detail and additional time on other services.

Picking up your car after your detail is complete

We will contact you with a text or phone call as soon as we are finished detailing your car, but you can pick up at your convenience. When you arrive at the shop to pick up your car, let us know. We’ll greet you and evaluate the vehicle with you to ensure complete satisfaction. If we have noticed any opportunities for additional cosmetic or mechanical care, we will share them with you at this time. I am also happy to schedule future detailing appointments at this time so that we can help your car continue to look and feel as fresh as possible.

If you need to pick up your car after hours or store it for several days, please let me know so that we can make arrangements.

Payment is always due at pickup. We accept Cash, Check, Venmo, or Zelle. We do not accept credit cards. We can provide invoices for businesses or insurance reimbursement, but please let us know at the time of scheduling.

  • No. Mobile car detailing is time intensive, with tons of time being spent driving all over Athens. Mobile detailing also leads to a lot of unforeseen circumstances. Working out of the shop allows us to be efficient and perfectly equipped for each car and its unique needs. Our shop is conveniently located just off the loop in north Athens, GA.

  • Occasionally, depending on circumstances and location.

  • Yes. I can arrange for both short and long-term storage on site.

    If you need to wait several days before picking your car up or plan to have your car detailed while you are on vacation, I can store your car free of charge indoors in our gated facility with video surveillance.

    Paradise Lodging of Athens, located on the same property, offers long-term car storage with 24-hr surveillance and member access. I personally oversee Paradise’s onsite operations and can arrange for your car to be stored in the facility pending space availability.

  • Generally, no. We normally cannot schedule our day to accommodate customers waiting on the premises. A loaner car is usually available to streamline the process of you going about your day while we work perform your car detail. Please inquire if you have a specialty situation, such as law enforcement or other state vehicles.

  • We usually book our car detailing services a minimum several days out. Occasionally, we have cancellations that allow for same-day detailing appointments. Feel free to give us a call if to see if we can work you in same-day.

  • No. We provide the total package with every car detailing service.
